Featured Dog of the Week
HoboHobo was brought to us by a neighbor of his. The family had allergies to Hobo and were planning on taking him to the desert to leave him. Fortunately for Hobo he got a second chance. Thankfully temporarily he was taken in by the kind neighbor. He is now safe at GHS and we are looking to rehome him to a home where commitment is understood and practiced. This handsome Aussie/Chow mix was born in September of 2006. Hobo enjoys playing with other dogs and would do well in a multiple dog household. In his previous home Hobo lived with children - all in all he seems very well adjusted. Come meet Hobo if you think you could give him the home he deserves. Please read on if you think Hobo is the boy for you. » Click here to view a movie clip of HOBO.

Special thanks go out to Girl Scout Troop #962 in La Canada for their amazing contributions to the Glendale Humane Society. We have actress and animal advocate, Mariana Tosca, to thank for them. Mariana founded Canine Cinema, a company that produces short films of people and their companion animals. Proceeds are donated to various animal protection organizations across the US. Please visit the Canine Cinema website at www.CanineCinema.com. Or visit Mariana’s website at www.mtosca.com.

Glendale Humane Society is seeking foster parents!
Kitten season is at its peak! We rely on the generosity of volunteer foster parents to take infant kittens - also known as bottle babies - into their homes temporarily. We sometimes have under-age puppies and adult dogs in need of a quiet place to recover from recent surgeries. If you would like more information about how to become a foster parent, please call Alyce or Star: 818-242-1128.
