Membership is a Sound Investment

Few people realize that the Glendale Humane Society, founded in 1924, is one of the oldest humane societies in California. We owe our success to the hundreds of volunteers who have contributed their time, money, and services to an organization that provides for the well-being of animals throughout the region.

The Glendale Humane Society is a private, non-profit rescue organization that relies entirely on private donations. We provide shelter for homeless pets and encourage responsible pet care. Unlike tax-supported animal control agencies, we do not euthanize animals due to lack of cage space. Glendale Humane Society is a No-Kill facility.

What your money does

$5,000 - Covers Veterinary bills for all animals for one month.
$3,000 - Covers the cost of food in the Shelter for one month.
$500 - Covers care for a litter of kittens in our foster program.
$100 - Covers rescue fees for one dog and one cat in our Second Chance Program.

Why should you help?

Because we simply can’t do it without you! The Glendale Humane Society is funded entirely through memberships, fees, donations and fundraisers. The important services we provide are made possible exclusively through the support we receive from our members and contributors.

The Glendale Humane Society belongs to all of us, and we must share in the responsibility of its success.

Types of Memberships

The Glendale Humane Society offers you a variety of membership options. As part of your membership commitment you will be able to be heard—and vote—at the Annual Membership Meeting of the Glendale Humane Society. You’ll also be recognized and receive our quarterly newsletter.

We’d be delighted to have you join us. Simply choose the type of membership that fits your circumstances from the list below and click on the ”Donate Now” button to make the appropriate donation. When your donation is complete, you will be redirected to our form where you may fill out our online membership application. If you do not wish to use our online form to become a member, a printable application is offered for your convenience (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader). Simply fill out the application and mail it, with your check payable to the Glendale Humane Society, for the appropriate amount.
