Wags-n-Whiskers Walk - Sunday, May 3rd 2009 - Honolulu Avenue in Montrose

The Wags-n-Whiskers walk is one of GH’s main and most enjoyable fundraisers!! We raise funds to help cover expenses incurred providing medical care, food, enrichment and training to the hundreds of dogs and cats in our care each year. As a non-profit, no-kill shelter, we depend entirely on the generosity of friends like you. By joining us at the walk or supporting a friend or family member who’s walking, you can help us save lives — four paws at a time!

This easy-going walk is set in charming, downtown Montrose — one of Los Angeles’ most dog-friendly towns! Once again GH is teaming up with the Montrose Harvest Market and Kids and Kritters — a fun and educational, family-themed event. Enjoy vendors, canine demonstrations from Muttley Crew, contests, food, entertainment, educational programs, raffle prizes and much more!

Registration begins at 9am in the Andersen’s Pet Shop parking lot at 2218 Honolulu Avenue. The walk and festivities begin at 10am.

Anyone is welcome to walk—with or without a dog! Walk in honor or memory of a pet. Can’t make it on the 3rd - join us as a “virtual walker”. Bring friends and family and walk as a “pack”. We love to see our GH alumni, so please, let’s make it a reunion!

Registration is FREE. We encourage everyone to make a donation or help raise funds by asking family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and everyone else you may know to sponsor you in the walk.
