Sundance’s Story

Sundance's story to his home in Montana is special.

Sundance is a 2 year old double-merle Aussie, adopted from a Los Angeles shelter. He is mostly deaf and has sight impairment. Sam was in holding for some time as his owner was incarcerated, also having survived a fire.

After being examined by the vet it was determined Sundance's retina showed head trauma. His original adopter realized he was more than she could handle and GHS took him on financially. Sundance was placed in a boarding and training program for many months with our vet and her husband overseeing his individualized needs. He made a great deal of progress but finding a new home was difficult. Adopters had to meet specific criteria to adequately home which he found in Montana. Transportation was orchestrated by our vet and her husband, with a trainer driving him to his new home.

We wish Sundance a long healthy, happy life.
A big thank you to all who made this happen.
